           Kashmiri Tea Recipe


Kashmiri tea is well known as a pink tea, this is also because their traditional tea belong to Kashmir city, Kashmiri pink tea also known as " Saltish-Tea " and not only provides all the health benefits of green tea, but the additional benefits of nuts and baking powder. Ground almonds make this tea a little nutty, and you can really taste the cinnamon and cardamom as well. If you do not have true saffron (it is very expensive) you can always leave that out.

Ingredients: -

Water - 10 cups

Kashmiri Tea Leaves - 3 ELS

Cooking soda - 1/2 TL

Salt - 1 tsp

6 - Green cardamom (Ilachi) Crushed

Milk

Sugar - as desired - to taste

Garnish
Few almonds and pistachios, crushed.

Procedure:

Mix everything except milk, almonds and pistachios in a kettle and water to bring to boil until reduced to half.
Less heat and cold water (approax 4 to 5 cups), simmer and mix well, until its color changed to pink.

• Add milk and simmer for 5 minutes more in low heat.
• Transfer it in the cups and sprinkle ground almonds and pistachios.
• Immediately.

• Serve delicious Kashmiri tea.
